In a microwave safe bowl large enough for 6 cups of water add 1 bag of dry chow to 3 cups of water, mix thoroughly cover with plastic wrap and cook on high for 2.5 minutes in microwave remove and stir well until smooth cover again with plastic wrap cook on high for 1.5 minutes.

Ready a 7 x 7 inch cake pan by lining with plastic wrap prior to cooking food.

Once the chow has been cooked for the second time quickly using a spatula put all the chow into the prepared cake pan, flatten and cover with plastic wrap, flatten again, allow to cool and then place in fridge.

Once the chow is chilled it can be cut into 16 equal size squares. Place one square into a Starfrit cheese grater and grate a small amount of food over the silkworms. Feed the worms twice daily. BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERFEED. Keep dry bags of chow in the freezer and cooked chow with cheese grater in the fridge.

Once the worms are ½ to ¾ inch long they can be moved to another container.

Keep in mind that the silkworms must be kept clean and need lots of air circulation.
